California has a 3-year reporting cycle. The due date is based on the first letter of your last name.

For example, an attorney with the last name of, say, "Kramer" would be in Reporting Group 2.

If your last name changes for any reason, you DO NOT change reporting groups. Whatever group you were assigned to when you joined the Bar is the group you still belong to after a name change.

Here is the reporting chart:

GROUP 1 (Last names starting A-G)
Accumulation Period: 2/1/10 - 1/31/13
Accumulation Deadline: 2/1/2013

GROUP 2 (last names starting H-M)
Accumulation Period: 2/1/09 -1/31/12
Accumulation Deadline: 2/1/2012

GROUP 3 (last names strating N-Z)
Accumulation Period: 2/1/08-1/31/11
Accumulation Deadline:2/1/2011
